The Electronics Zone is designed for electronics experimentation, prototyping, assembly, test, and repair. Two standing workstations are each equipped with a power supply, digital storage oscilloscope, bench multimeter, soldering station, fume extractor, solder dispenser, stereo optical microscope, and basic hand tools. Shared resources include a hot air rework station, micro soldering station, and desoldering tools. A third bench is set up for larger-scale electronics work and has its own dedicated tools.
A wide variety of donated and scavenged parts are available for member use at no charge. Additional materials are available through the Electronics Store at low cost.
